Can I Get My Criminal Record Expunged?
As an experienced New Jersey Criminal Defense Attorney I am often asked about expungement. In the state of New Jersey, if you have a prior conviction, a disorderly person’s offense, a petty disorderly person’s offense, or even an indictable offense. Depending on the offense and what’s happened since then with your criminal record if there hasn’t been or if there has, you’re entitled to apply for an expungement. There are specific waiting periods for each offense and if there is more than one offense, they can be coupled together, perhaps, for one affidavit or several different courts if they’re in different counties. If you have a prior offense or even a criminal conviction, talk to me about an expungement.
