David Cassidy Pleads No Contest to DWI
David Cassidy was taken into custody in Fort Pierce on November 3, 2010 on charges of suspicion of driving under the influence, failure to maintain a single lane and having an open container.
The Florida Highway Patrol report states that Cassidy failed a field sobriety test. Cassidy’s blood-alcohol content according to breath tests performed at the St. Lucie County jail were 0.139 and 0.141. Florida’s legal limit is 0.08.
The plea was entered in court on February 16, 2011. Cassidy will serve one year probation and lose driving privileges for six months after pleading “no contest” to driving under the influence in Florida.
