Hillside Woman Charged With DWI Pertly Frees Herself From Handcuffs
BYRAM – According to police reports, 42-year-old Donalda Brookins of Hillside managed to partly free herself from handcuffs after she was arrested for DWI Saturday night.
Brookins was travelling on Rt. 206 where she was stopped and arrested for drunk driving. While she was being transported to police headquarters, she removed one of the cuffs. When police tried to cuff her again, she resisted, so she had to be pepper sprayed.
Brookins has been charged with several offenses including resisting arrest, DWI and criminal mischief.
