New Jersey Criminal Lawyer Discusses Burglary
As an experienced New Jersey Criminal Lawyer I am often consulted about burglary charges. In New Jersey, if you’re charged with a burglary, know full well that you’re being charged with an indictable offense which is a serious offense and very vigorously prosecuted.
A burglary is an entering into a dwelling or another type of building with intent to commit crime inside. If you entered into an apartment and intended to take something but didn’t, that might not be a defense. Be very aware that making statements to law enforcement is probably not in your best interest.
